Prince Henry

Private Suites & Gardens, Vondelpark,  Amsterdam

Prins Hendriklaan 8, three minutes away from the Vondelpark, finds itself in one of the very best parts of Amsterdam. It is, by pure coincidence, strategically located between the center of town and the famous business 'South Axis' (Zuid As), home to a number of multinational companies, the WTC and the top ten of International Law Firms.

We offer two sumptuous rooms on the ground floor with their own private garden. This mansion was built in 1904 for members of the ‘Grande Bourgeoisie’ of Amsterdam and retains most of its original atmosphere.

Our suites are in a quiet upscale part of town.

Almost adjacent to the Vondelpark, close to the museums, the Royal Concert Hall and important shops and restaurants, one of which has two stars in the ‘Guide Michelin’.
All within walking distance!

It is an area where houses and offices are equally represented. This means that after five o’clock the street is very quiet and has lots of parking space.

We have neighbours on both sides, which means that you will be asked to behave quietly outside and have no loud music in your room. They appreciate their privacy as much as you do.

However, there will be a lot to do outside the house!

The Centre of Amsterdam (Leidseplein) is 10 minutes on foot through the Vondelpark and 5 minutes by bicycle.

There you will find Paradiso and the Melkweg for ‘avant-garde’ and Pop music, lots of cinema’s and bars.

You can easily rent a bicycle in the park. The tram stop is a few minutes from our house, which will bring you right to the centre of Amsterdam.

Schiphol Airport is fifteen minutes by car and 5 minutes by train to Station WTC-Zuid; a taxi will bring you in 5 minutes to our house.

For the best restaurants in general, we refer you to Dining City.

If you are specifically interested in the restaurants nearby, fill in 'Concertgebouw' as the location. Ron Blaauw just moved his famous Michelin Starred restaurant to within a five minutes walk to Prince Henry, so that you can sample the wines there without fear for the breathalysers. This is how you get to our place.

If you arrive at Schiphol, take a train (that is inside Schiphol Airport)
to stop South / WTC.
From there take a taxi to Prins Hendriklaan 8
Both rides take about 6 minutes.

Or take the train to Central Station, outside the station take streetcar no. 2, stop Emmastraat.
From there you take the street on your right hand side (lake and Vondelpark you will see right away on your right hand side). The street has a small slope and you follow the left fork in the street. After 100 meters our house is on your right hand side.

If you come by car; we have plenty of parking space in our street, but the costs of parking are € 40 per day, except on Sundays.
